it's kind of addictive...Oh well, Samaritan again...
And here I thought that Romeo guy was anyhow plot-relevant. Oh well, no big loss.
Shame about the gold. Hopefully they will tip the police about it.
The Machine told Root to meet Harold and just follow his plan? How precious.
Seems that Harold's one man army mode starts to pay off really soon.
A really tough countdown... is Miss Shaw about to regain her dubious second job?
Oh. Bloody. Hell.
You know, Shaw seems really into this Tomaso guy, and I'm okay with that... And it's nice on the eye, too, like those hot gangster movies... but you know who seems to be not okay?
The creators are so shipping ShawRoot.
Perfectly planned job like seduction? That's hot.
Aww, Shaw.
Cutting Root off like that.
The reason why things like that succeed. Human factor.
Shaw makes a perfect bait though.
Well, okay, so that worked out perfectly. The question is: why did his number come up. The Machine doesn't care for jewels.
I do hope they're not gonna drug her with that drink...
Or, perhaps... there are no jewels in the safe?
I'm afraid it might be explosive... how about they step away from it?
Oh-kay... not explosive, although possibly infectuous. But it's valuable anyway. Was that why Tomaso's guys turned on him?
Oh holy funk, Marburg? It's like, a brother of Ebola? An artificially created retro-virus?
Of course there's supposed to be a vaccine against Marburg, if my info's correct, but... there are going to be casualties before the infection is contained and vaccine implemented.
Finch seems to confirm my rememberance... although "collecting samples" doesn't quite sound in favour of the thing being artificial. Maybe I'm wrong in that bit.
But why is Team Machine working on it? Where's Samaritan looking? That's supposed to be his kind of thing! So okay, he didn't know the thieves identities (proves that Finch's girl is smarter), and perhaps that researcher managed to hide her questionable cargo from his prying eyes, but now that the information is in the open... I fully expect him to act.
3D printers to produce tablets? Come on, guys, the output's too damn fragile. And for it not to be, the materials must be expencive like hell. And for the precision required... he couldn't get so many printers. Unless that grant was really astronomical.
It simply cannot be profitable. It will never pay off. Like, never.
Then there's electronics. One can make a working circuit board using CNC machines... but tiny chips like those that tablets use? Flash memory cards? Sensor screens? Glass, for hell's sake? You can't print that. They'd need to import those. And if they import those parts, why not order others as well. Like, made in a normal, cheep way by casting them out of normal plastic.
So, not believing this bit. Printing resin fingers for fingerprint scanners was far more believable, even if acquiring clear fingerprints from one card wasn't.
Still no action from those in power to fix the virus issue... isn't it kind of like Greer saying "apport" and Samaritan telling Martine where to go?
Unless it's Samaritan himself who ordered the virus... and then Team Machine and the whole of New York, as well as the rest of the world, is very, very screwed.
Hopefully leading Tomaso to that storage fortress wasn't just a part of the evil side plan...
Okay, sorry, Samaritan, maybe I shouldn't have suspected you. But who knows, right?
And why does Shaw worry about the thing getting relevant? It's supposed to be a good thing, right? Team Samaritan has damn good operatives, they shouldn't screw it up.
By the way, what does the Machine think about relevant numbers nowadays? She can't send them to Control now... does she simply recognize that Samaritan is handling them instead of her? He gets the job done, right?
Huh! Same operatives that worked with Northern Lights, even. More certainty that they won't screw this up. Or what?
Wow, a doubter in the official side?
Ah, by the way... I keep forgetting that John worked Control's side too... indeed, "here on the Wall we are all one House".
Anyone else finding similarities between Team Machine and the Night's Watch?
Ah, okay, so the Machine is... what?
Let me get it straight. If Northern Lights were still active, the relevant side would be working those guys numbers, and - given Shaw's description of how the relevant side works, - would eliminate first those two guys who turned on Tomaso, then those who ordered it, then get rid of the virus, and track down everyone involved. And the Machine would be fine with that. Or not?
Or not. Harold did have to steal suspects from under the relevant side nose.
She's certainly... compassionate.
Oh-kay. Logic seems sound on both sides, let's go on.
Another criminal act, Harold? Root fixed you with one more Egret deal?
Ah, the tablet guy.
Those things that the tablet guy called 3D-printers can cook chips? That's a little too cool, no?
Damn that proactive AI. That was quick. And such a fine move, too - text a real living specialist. They can turn off the cameras, but a real guy?
Not too much of a specialist. Shouldn't he have inspected the pulled out cables first? Root didn't have time to damage them. She just unplugged them. Only the orange ones. They they lay at the guy's feet, and he's plugging some red ones? Why?
Here we go. Now Samaritan's wanting Marburg for himself.
I withdraw my apology.
Won't Samaritan notice Harold looping the security feeds?
Love the soundtrack, by the way.
Fffffunk...
Guys... nope. Just nope. Drawing that blasted thing into a syringe with his bare hands????!!!! Is he daft???!!!
I know it's safer in a syringe than in that glass vial in case the guy gets shot and drops both... but there'll still be enough in the vial, too. It's not poison, guys. It's a bloody virus! Viruses are tiny! They procreate! He doesn't need to pump a whole vial's worth of that liquid into a person to contaminate them! A tiny scratch can be enough! Come bloody on!
Anyone presses the plunger on that syringe just a tiny bit, and everyone in the storage is a walking disaster. Watch out, would you?
Blast it, Fusco! Don't take off that thing! Samaritan's watching!!!
WOW! A doubter on the relevant side shows too much sense! I like him.
Seems that Samaritan saw that, though. Maybe heard as well. Would be a pity if the guy winds up dead...
Oh, Harold, Harold. Perhaps the software was innocent in its original form... but haven't you seen how quickly Samaritan takes control over a portable device? Not to mention that the uniform design of those things would allow to build a network out of them, like really fast? Any kind of network? Distributed calculations, botnet for DDoS attacks?
Kids can live just fine without those tablets. Kids need more books, really. Old-fashioned, paper books.
ShawRoot is soooo shipped there....
Why the bloody hell Samaritan's interface things look so similar to the Machine's? Weren't he all white and stuff? Why the black-grey-red theme? The fonts are similar, too...
And now the doubter guy is in trouble, and Samaritan's looking for Shaw...
Who the hell does Samaritan call "Admin"? Greer?
Well, that was fun. And, as always...
Go Team Machine.
