It's not evening yet.
angry, sad, hopefulAaaaaaaaaand isn't it just a bit suspicious.
Reese might write it off, though. I know someone who tends to get this a lot. With me, digital systems hardly ever fail when I need them. Maybe sometimes. But that someone I know? It's like Murphy's law. The ATM's gonna be malfunctioning, ticket systems hang up, anything electronic can go haywire. And they don't even touch anything. They just come to the terminal and the operators start swearing. Funny thing, in hindsight. Not when it's happening.
So, Reese might write it off. But something's definitely happening.
Oh, I hope the Machine messes with his flight program. He just doesn't get to sit and relax in headphones. Nope.
Well, that's almost as good.
Aaaand he put the phone near himself. I hope she sees him...
4C? Wait, there was an episode named like that. Oh dear, is that the one I'm watching? I tried to avert my eyes from spoilers, but I've got an ominous feeling...
Well, I think I'm sure that Reese makes it out alive, but I'd like him not to be too battered physically. Emotionally though, fair game.
Had been wondering for a second if 4C means "foresee", but Reese spotted an airplane seat. So much for my guesses.
A bit of a forced action. Good. I'm pretty sure the Machine fitted him for that flight, or Root did (which is about the same, Root doesn't care about him outside the "Harold, Machine and assets" circle). Not that Harold wouldn't pull tricks like that, but he wouldn't leave Reese without intel, so, not him.
Huh!
Harold's face is so shocked, as if he set different melodies to different callers and already knows that it's Reese. While I'm pretty sure the melody is default.
On a second thought, perhaps it's different phones for different callers...
They do share that cruel streak. Insisting that they can choose not to save anyone. And Harold doesn't blame him.
But in a few minutes he's going to blame himself.
Besides, if I'm not wrong he did pocket the marshall's badge. How's that for not being involved?
Oh, actually. I wanted the Machine to talk to him? She did better. She's lovely.
Holly the flight attendant: Whatever happened to people helping other people?
Tooooo right, Miss Holly. Reese should drink to that.
Reese: I quit my job.
Holly: Didn't like your boss?
Reese: I didn't like my boss's boss.
One of the few redeeming aspects of John's current behaviour... he never said he didn't like Finch.
As for not liking the Machine, which translates into blaming her for Carter's death, that's still unfair. She did all she could, considering her limitations. It wasn't even Carter's number they worked with. Those two should have watched out for Simmons.
Actually, the Machine probably wasn't calling about Carter's number even then. She predicts stuff based on online interaction. At that point the HR was destroyed. There was no interaction. If Simmons decided to kill Carter, he didn't blabble about it. She simply wouldn't know in time.
Well, hopefully this Holly isn't in on the "get the guy in 4C" plot?
That speech about responsibility isn't fair either. It's obviously directed at Harold, and was he ever doing anything except taking responsibility since the ferry explosion? Besides, there were others trying to do the very same thing. He, at least, did it right.
Huh. The annoying guy, not Holly. Good.
"Oh dear", indeed. Well, Harold can fly planes in general, right? It's better than those hapless people that get to do that in all those airplane-in-distress movies.
How does Reese manage to cheer Finch up by referring him to the applause and still sound angry at him, huh?
John Reese, that was a cruel joke. Harold already does look like his eyes are permanently filled with tears. What is the need of making him anymore sad? He can't even smile properly. Even by his own standard of not-smiles.
I'm still kind of mad at Mr. Reese. But he's starting to redeem himself.
